Studio in the Woods, Various (United Kingdom) 2005 – Ongoing
Studio in the Woods (Independent)
A summer workshop where architecture students test ideas at 1:1 alongside practicing architects. The workshop was set to address the lack of making in architecture schools, and to explore design through making. Each year, a kit of parts is given to students which is a stack of timber in the round, which is milled on site. Students are encouraged to design on the hoof, with few or no drawings.
